Jason & Olivia 10.2.10
Happy Mother’s Day! Today Jason & I took my mom to a Mariner’s Game. AND, the Mariners won. But, even more exciting news we discovered this little doozy. There is a Mariner’s player by the last name of Moore - like Jason and soon to be me. His number is 10, like 2010 when we are getting married. Jason and I really want to get matching Jersey’s with MOORE and the number 10 to wear after we get married. We are really excited about it! Ahh, the little things in life!

Jason and I went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival today in Mount Vernon. Our dear friend Amanda came with us - despite the traffic and annoying people we had a really fun time and it was a great little outing for a Sunday afternoon.

Well, the save the dates have been sent - minus a couple that we are still working on. If you gave us your address late, then yours will be a little late. That’s just how life works! We are about 6 months away from the big day - and in between now and October we are wrapping up all the details.
We went food tasting last week for the catering company we are using - oh goodness. You all better come hungry to the wedding because there is going to be some AWESOME food and sweets for all of you to eat! Trust me, it’s going to be good.
Well, this blog is about our updates on wedding planning but also what’s going on in our lives. A couple months ago Jason joined a new band, The Vallar. It’s a really different change from the last band he was in but he’s really enjoying it. He’s been busy recording and doing shows and probably touring for a couple weeks this summer around the Northwest.

Cake Tasting tonight at Trophy Cupcakes was a success! We didn’t eat any dinner so that we could fully focus on the goal ahead of us. Trying 12 different cupcakes - the results, we love the Snickerdoodle, the Vanilla Vanilla, the Chocolate Vanilla and the Mint Chocolate Chip. These are NOT final results of what is to come in October, as we have many more choices left to make - but we got to eat free cake and take home a box of cupcakes. Glorious!

For those interested where we are getting married, it’s The Stimson Green Mansion in Seattle, WA. Located on Minor Ave near the Capitol Hill neighborhood - it’s a historical mansion, it’s amazing. It’s huge and perfect (that’s what she said!) and we are really excited about it. I really only looked at one other place and stumbled upon this, went once and put down a deposit. I hope everyone is excited about it as I am - the pictures don’t do it justice. Trust me.

This is our Cello & Bass player for the wedding - the Bottom Line Duo! SO EXCITED! They are amazing and we are going to have them playing during the ceremony, cocktail hour & then at the start of dinner. We think that this music at the Mansion would be perfect… well, maybe not the Ozzy Osbourne music but they are amazing and will play anything we want.

Relationships are never easy. Some days you’re going to wake
up and that love you know you have for the person in
the bed next to you, isn’t going to come so naturally.
We always say “no one told us it was going to be this
hard” but they do. We choose not to listen, because it
seems so unreasonable that one day you will be able
to keep your hands off of each other. One day you
will spend your free time, away from each other.
The only way you can make a relationship last is
if you work at it everyday and never give up on it.
Because if you take time to fight and argue and still
can’t imagine leaving them, then you love them.
And that’s the kind of love that’s forever.
